A note on individual advice
MyScamGuide publishes general guidance on identity protection and scam awareness. We can’t give personalized advice about your specific situation, and we can’t act on your behalf with banks, credit bureaus, or law enforcement.
If you think you’ve been a victim of identity theft, the Federal Trade Commission’s IdentityTheft.gov is the right starting point. It’s free, government-run, and will walk you through the exact steps to take.
